36 people heard Gillian Waters describe the history of the WHC archive, followed by Jim Brophy who showed a fascinated audience evidence and clues to the social and economic history of the valley’s past.
After tea and cake in the church, co-ordinated by Pat Anderson and Ann Dawson, the audience returned to the Centre to hear Margaret Hart, Deborah Power, Mikki French, Cynthia Petty, Gillian Waters and Jim Brophy talk about and display particular items of interest held in the archive. Anne Lister was the doorkeeper, ticket distributor and book seller so the entire archive group contributed to the great success of the event.
