Sunshine for our walkers

Here are our walkers taking a well-earned rest during their sunny walk earlier this week.  This image was taken above Bramley Head.  The group walked from Thruscross onto Rocking Moor, passing Bramley Head and Spittle Ings (the house frequented by King George V when shooting on the Duke of Devonshire’s estate).  Curlews, lapwings and oyster catchers accompanied them on the 5 mile walk.  Lunch at the Centre was a delicious homemade cottage pie followed by pear and apple crumble with cream!  If you would like to join a Washburn walk, please have a look at our Events page on the website, or give Jenny a ring at the office on 01943 880794.
