A packed audience of over 80 people gathered in Fewston Church on Saturday morning (9th November) to listen to Paul Hudson’s talk ‘What’s it going to do today?’ We heard about his early life and interest in the weather following the summer of 1976, followed by a physics degree which took him into meteorology. He shared funny stories about being a young presenter alongside Bob Rust at Calendar, and of course the famous Michael Fish “there won’t be a hurricane” tale that we all remember! Paul spoke candidly and compassionately about the current climate crisis that we are all facing and gave the audience lots to think about. And he was very complimentary about our volunteers and their homemade biscuits! Paul is welcome to visit the Heritage Centre any time.
