Event will run from Tuesday 4 June to Friday 27 September and there is a wide variety of events happening, including walks, talks, workshops, visits and suppers. Please see our Events Calendar for more details. You may find yourself walking through the remains of Providence and Prosperous Lead Mines or visiting Pendle Witch country!
Our exciting summer programme accompanies the Paul Harris exhibition of photography in the Heritage Centre, entitled ‘The Water’s Edge – photographs from Nidderdale and beyond‘. Paul’s images are part of a collection he began 21 years ago when he first came to live in Nidderdale, and some were garnered from recent travels in the High Arctic. The exhibition will run from 1 June to the end of September here in the Centre.
We are also including some original activities to suit a wide range of tastes, for example talks on the work of Alfred Wainwright, international tennis art and the Lost World of Arthur Conan Doyle, and a Walking Photographer Workshop with Rich Bunce, based in and around the Heritage Centre.
Please email Jenny Wilson at the Centre to book. The email address is centre@washburnvalley.org or call 01943 880794 to book tickets.
