Members make welcome return to Annual Meeting

We met at 4pm in the Parochial Hall, not our usual home of course, but we could seat more people at a safe distance than at the Centre.  It was great to see familiar faces and everyone so cheerful at being out of the house!  Dawn Meeks, a friend of the Centre, made our magnificent tenth birthday cake and we celebrated with a slice and a glass of fizz.

Our speaker for the evening was Terry Bramall, whose talk, titled ‘Who am I?’ gave us a fantastic and entertaining insight into his career, success, family life, football, cars and everything else inbetween.  Terry’s wife Liz was overjoyed to learn that one of our Members, who trained with her in their early nursing days, was present at the event and the two said hello after more than thirty years!

Sally and Ian presented the facts and figures of our Annual Report and dropped a hint that our Tenth Anniversary Report will soon be released to coincide with our month of birthday celebrations in June.  The Centre has been through a difficult year, just like every other business, and we are working our way back to health.  The support of our Members and volunteers is invaluable.
