Didn’t we have a lovely time … the day we went to Saltaire!

“Where women toiled …”

We are almost at the end of our current programme More than a woman and last week members and friends enjoyed a wonderful day out in Saltaire, with a guided walk around Saltaire, a world heritage site. They imagined the women heading to work during the time of the huge mill complex at Salts Mill.  A guide from the Mill then took our group on a curated hour long art tour of the 1853 gallery where we saw the world’s largest permanent collection of work by Bradford born David Hockney.

One of our members was moved to write a poem about the super day (please click on the link below), and here is a photo of our group after enjoying lunch at Salts Diner.
