On Wednesday 3rd September the very talented singer/songwriter Nicky Bray provided the entertainment at one of the famous Washburn Heritage Centre suppers. Nicky performed many of her own idiosyncratic and amusing songs covering subjects as diverse as Gary Lineker advertising Walker’s crisps and school careers advisors to a very appreciative audience. Her finale was a rendition of Sweet Caroline accompanied by a chorus on the Kazoo provided by some members of the audience!
The supper was excellent – thanks to Ann Johnson, Val Hurst, Christine Pearce, Jose Rhodes and Alex Rosser – which was produced under trying circumstances because of periodic power cuts.
All in all, it was a wonderful evening which will live long in the memory.
