The entertainment and supper were both splendid and our volunteers created a really friendly, warm atmosphere. The power went off early in the evening but our team kept calm and carried on … candlelight added to the ambience and plenty of red wine was enjoyed!
I am told one of our catering team wore a jester hat and was heard saying “Hear ye, hear ye, I have news from the King! Be here a young man who doth play and sing!”
“So you think a jester’s life is to be silly and carefree but sometimes that is not so, as I shalleth explain to ye!”
