Crossing the Washburn Waters

From September 2017 to January 2018 the exhibition was subtitled ‘from hipping stones to bridges’ and focused on the different ways that people have crossed the Washburn over the centuries.

The Ever Changing Valley

From May 2017 to August 2017 the exhibition showed the different ways that people, both locals and visitors, can see and experience the valley, whether though feats of engineering, through the written word, through leisure activities or through local eyes.

Churchyard Secrets Revealed

The theme from January to April 2017 is the Fewston Assemblage – which refers to the remains and artefacts which were found when the site for the Heritage Centre was excavated in 2009-10.

King Street Workshops

The theme for October – December 2016 is a partnership with the King Street Workshops from the Old Workhouse at Pateley Bridge. It brings together a group of renowned artists, makers and designers to share their knowledge, skill and expertise.

The Seasons – Spring

The exhibition, running from March – May 2016, featured panels celebrating Spring in the Washburn Valley, its birds, flowers, weather, festivals and farming practices.
