The mills of the Washburn Valley have almost disappeared leaving little trace.  The huge mill complex at Salts Mill may have echoes of West House Mill at Blubberhouses.  Join our guided walk (Washburn guide) around Saltaire, a World Heritage Site to see the mill workers’ village and imagine the streets full of women heading to work in the mill.  We then join a Salt’s Mill guide on a curated hour long art tour of the 1853 Gallery where you will see the world’s largest permanent collection of work by Bradford born David Hockney.  You might choose to eat at Salt’s Diner (own cost) or perhaps take a walk and a picnic to nearby Roberts Park.  Accessible by train or car. Parking available nearby.  Cost £12 member, £15 non-member.
