The use of the Harrogate Stray is strictly regulated. However, in the past it has been used as a landing ground for aircraft offering joy flights, taking aerial photographs and for specific occasions such as a check point for air races. Its use by aircraft was contentious. Fortunately, many local photographers produced pictures and postcards of some of these events and these form the basis of this presentation. Peter, an aviation historian, has a fine collection of photographs and cards to share with us.
Light refreshments served. Cost £10 member, £12 non-member.
