Welcome to the Washburn Heritage Centre

‘A hidden gem’ run by volunteers to celebrate the heritage of the wonderful Washburn Valley. A stunning extension to Fewston Church, it’s free to come in!

The Centre features exhibitions about the heritage of the Valley, and we run an extensive programme of events including walks, workshops, talks and courses. At weekends there is a popular Tea Room featuring a wide selection of homemade cakes. The Centre is fully accessible and is available for hire.

Washburn Book Group taster: Common Ground by Rob Cowen

After moving from London to Harrogate, Rob set about exploring his new environment and “blurring the boundaries of memoir, natural history and novel”, presents a remarkable evocation of this familiar landscape.  Come and join our friendly Book Group to share your thoughts and experiences of the book.  Tea and cake served.  Cost £3 member, £4 non-member.
